Firstly when asked to design a logo and website for iDoula care – I needed to understand what a Doula was.

A Doula is simply an experienced birthing partner supporting and caring for pregnant women and their families.

The client requested an earthy feel to the logo design with elements to signify the tree of life and holistic care, in addition, the client also stated they love the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh who was the main exponent of Art Nouveau in the United Kingdom.

The end result on the right is a circular badge logo featuring a tree of life icon, hearts, and scrolls along with a Mackintosh type font.

The client really likes the logo and feels it is a great foundation to build a successful start-up business.

The website used the WN6 Creative Design Creative £150 website package as a basis for the design with a number of amendments to tailor the website to the customer’s exact requirements.

With Google Analytics and automatic site map updates running, the client happily adds content on a periodic basis via laptop and Android WordPress application.  With only a few pages visitors have already started to mount up after only a matter of 2 weeks.
