Do you create free websites?

Person typing contentThe simple answer to this question is yes I do sometimes build free websites for people.  Often they are charities but from time to time they are businesses either just starting out or been established for years and struggling.

When it comes to free websites for charities the website build is almost always free and in most cases, there is a small annual hosting fee to pay each year.  Other than that the charity gets a website for free.  When a charity can’t even afford the small hosting fee I can come to an arrangement that enables a small advertisement or sponsorship from local businesses to go towards the hosting fee.

Free websites for businesses.

Ok in the world of business, there isn’t a lot you can get for free but some small businesses have had free websites from me, some have ultimately gone on to be very great paying customers, others have folded and some are happy to have an advertisement-supported website.

In most cases free websites are rare, let’s face it we all have to make a ‘crust’ somehow, however, every website is priced on the expected return on investment the business in question may receive.  All web developers who’ve been in the industry as long as I have must be doing something right to retain customers and remain operational.  So understand that in the main web developers from across Wigan and further afield work in one of the most competitive industries on the planet, they have to keep prices keen and have to offer a good quality product.  More importantly, any web developer or business person for that matter knows acquisition of a new customer is far more expensive than retention, so often the price of a website keeps that in mind.  We’d like to retain your custom for many years rather than see you leave in no time at all.

So the next time you get a quote for a new website or new website design from any web developer, think about how much business do I need to realise to cover if not double or triple the investment.  You’ll soon understand that a good website for £500 won’t take long to reap dividends, similarly, a more comprehensive website for £1,500 with a built-in maintenance and development plan equal to a further £1,500 per year should be small change to many businesses with a decent average order value.

No matter what business you own, I want all local businesses to survive, thrive and grow, so all my website quotes are tailored with just that in mind.  If you need a free website and you believe your business ticks some of my boxes please get in touch and let’s work something out, there is always a solution.
