Colonial Candle was looking for a new look for the more traditional scented wax-filled glass range.  The blended floral fragrances sat at the heart of the range, so working in conjunction with the product development team I designed firstly an overarching identity for the range of candles, moving on to develop a set of applications for each of the candle boxes.

The brief stipulated the range must embrace the traditional nature of the product whilst providing a striking shelf presence in the store.  The ‘box-net’ was none negotiable as it was a standard stock item, however, how the range was presented was very much down to me.

The resulting set of packaging designs reaches into the more feminine aesthetic of the art nouveau movement, evoking a sense of Parisian perfumiers, whilst the bold box colours provide a striking and contemporary twist.
