Cheshire Drives and Patios Logo

From time to time a brief for a logo comes in that seems somewhat contrived.  This logo design brief for Cheshire Drives and Patios was just one of those occasions, the company understood that existing drives and patios had been installed by other companies who had failed to adhere to drainage regulations.  These drives and patios often flooded and so Cheshire Drives and Patios wanted to create a new brand identity for a drainage division of the company.

So turning a blind eye to the name of the company I developed an icon and van design that embraced the idea of water being allowed to enter into a pipe.  This simple device provides the brand identity with a striking juxtaposition of name and icon.

By including the initials of the company it was suggested that in time the whole offering would be able to move to just the name CPD in order to remove the somewhat confusing full title of the company.
