It’s not often you’re asked to design a website for a company who specialises in fresh chicken, but a local web marketing company approached me to design a website for exactly that type business.

MJM Foods of Wigan are specialist in providing fresh chicken and poultry to the catering industry, they required a website design that would make them stand out from their competition, provide a fresh new approach to the industry of food supplies whilst embracing their core services.

For this website design I focused hard on the sense of heritage and provenance, providing a simple but quirky back drop for the content to sit on, the website evokes a farm yard feel, with enamel signs, chickens feeding free, wooden fences and of course the crops in the background.

The website design was quickly coded by an independent team on behalf of the web marketing company as they chose not to opt for a CMS based website.

Over all the clients loved the website design in both look and feel, they’re sure it will take them on to even more success in the future….as they say it’s poultry in motion!
