Small budget website design brings great rewards
It's some time since I posted new content, been a little too busy building local business websites. All the same a couple of new websites I've developed have reminded me how much value there is in developing a website for people who know little or nothing about how this eclectic world of the web works.
Companies such as Rectory Road Nurseries who gained a 3 fold improvement in business, Dave Harrision who was quite simply knocked out by having such a professional image online. These types of business provide often a unique and old school style service, the type many modern business owners would be wise to take reference from.
Their values are around service, kindness and genuine care for the customers they work with. Now I'm not saying this is a unique quality to businesses such as these, but often when working with larger organisations the emphasis is on profits and budgets first rather than gaining a website that supports their core values, local service for local people. Having worked hard in local television for 10 years it's these very values that I enjoy and believe we all should try harder to embody.
For instance Rectory Road Nurseries has a quirky and often eccentric way of operating, it's not slick or polished in a modern sense, but it's unique, it's friendly and they offer the kind of customer service rarely seen today. How many other establishments do you know that invite you to have a brew with them and stop for a chat - not many. Dave Harrision equally is very much your old school service, proud of the polished mini bus service he provides, enjoys the trips with people to the North West markets, loves to hear how people loved their day out and thank him sincerely for a great service.
I know we are all in business to make a living, but it's that very statement that these businesses embody truly - make a living. That's what they do, they simply make a living or as we say 'earn a crust', their joy in earning that crust is the rich unpaid rewards of providing a great and unique service, it pays them in other ways and that's what really shines through.
Small budget website design brings great rewards.
Working with these businesses brings such great rewards for myself. I 'earn a crust' yes but just as they value so much the appreciation from their customers I value dearly the heartfelt appreciation these businesses have for the service I provide. In today's world of cynical stunts, hard Brexit and backstops, Trump Walls, not to mention the slow slide of old school values, it's wonderful to work with businesses and individuals that refuse to leave the best of the past behind whilst they slowly embracing the future.
So if you're in business and want to work with someone who genuinely wants to make a difference for you, then get in touch. I understand only too well budget is not everything, a sense of making a difference is much more valuable.
