A car garage or service station is obviously about one thing, keeping our much-loved vehicles in tip-top condition.

When approached to design Sandbrook Service Station in Wigan a new logo I immediately looked for inspiration from the world of motoring and motorsport.

The famous F1 driver Ayrton Senna is still remembered fondly for his motor racing genius, tracks across the globe has honoured the Brazillian driver by reshaping and naming a series of bends the Senna S, Senna Kurve or Virage Senna.  The ‘S-shaped series of bends inspired me when designing the Sandbrook Service Station logo, a direct nod to the speed and performance of the great Senna.

Presented on a black background with a prominent red icon and white lettering the logo is strong and striking as signage, online and in print.
