Norstrom Metering website
Wigan-based Norstrom Group commissioned wncreative to build a new website for their extensive metering solutions division – Nortstom Metering.
Norstrom Metering supplies meters for a range of industrial and domestic settings, including gas meters, water meters, chemical meters and heat meters.
The old website was somewhat in a state of disarray and its product range need cataloguing in a coherent and consistent way.
Brochure website combined with ecommerce
My solution was to build a bespoke website combining elements of a brochure website along with a comprehensive catalogue area for all the product ranges. Norstrom also wanted to add ecommerce facilities at a later date, so the chosen solution provides an easy way to add pricing and shipping costs to any one of the products listed in the catalogue.
Being a business-to-business website and being heavy on the need for technical specifications, Norstrom needed the site to be quick as well as carry an array of datasheets all easily visible on each product page. The solution was to use a PDF viewer, embedded into the site ensuring all existing PDF datasheets could be viewed without leaving the Norstrom Metering website.
The website also combines a fully responsive design and easy-to-use responsive controls suited well to smartphones and tablets.
The live site now features over 100 products in some 20+ categories, is receiving more visits owning to the improved speed and coding of the site.
