From time to time it’s good to give back to society and the community.  When I was approached by L.O.C.A.L an alcohol abuse support group I didn’t hesitate to get out my design tools to help, free of charge of course.

They needed a brand identity and advertising flyer to promote the group and the support they provided.

Having had my own issues with alcohol I knew only too well the problems that alcohol dependency can bring.  My focus for this logo design was the need to ditch the booze whilst using key alcohol-related terms to make the whole offering instantly eye-catching.

The resulting design became as much a stamp design as it was a logo design, something that could be used in all manner of media and the message be instantly understood.  High ABV is always something that attracts people dependent on alcohol and there’s nothing higher than 100% proof.  I coupled this fact with an upturned bottle with the last drop of alcohol dripping out of it.

The message is simple but very effective, eye-catching and easily understood – L.O.C.A.L 100% proof that there’s life without booze.
