Ashfield House Logo Design

Some logo designs are inspired simply by the surroundings of the business and the design for Ashfield House Hotel and Restaurant, Standish was no exception.

Having had a meeting with the owners about what they were looking for from a new logo, I took a look around the building and noticed stained glass detailing in the windows.  Right at the heart of one of the old windows was the icon that inspired the logo.

The small four-petal flower with four bracts provides the central elements of the logo design, supporting the icon I have placed cast iron gate-inspired scroll work.

The typography is a stylish serif font evocative of the yearly days of Ashfield House Hotel and Restaurant.
