Who’s driving your website?
Business websites in Wigan are like almost any around the world, most business website owners simply haven’t got the time, resources or knowledge to drive their website. So what happens?
No website driver, no new content, no maintenance, the website slowly falls down the rankings, business from the website dries up and eventually the business website owner either complains to the original web developer or gets a new website designed, or worse leaves it longer.
There are some obvious failings in the way small business handle their websites, designing a new website isn’t going to do much for the rankings or the value of business generated from the site.
Businesses that take a more pro-active reap greater rewards
The truth of the matter is (and I can prove it) if you fail to keep on top of your website in this day and age, you will slowly but surely be over taken in rankings, and the business generated from your site will dry up. Fact, business that take a more pro-active approach with their website reap greater rewards and gain greater returns on their original and monthly investment.
Leaving your website to ‘sort itself out’ isn’t the answer, the answer is simply to contract or employ someone to drive it, even if it is very lightly. Someone holding the website reigns is better than nobody bothering at all, that’s of course they ‘play by the rules’
At WN6 I work with many small business who care about their website enough to invest a little each month (from £50 upward) to have their website looked after. The range of work carried out varies from customer to customer, but here are just a few examples of the work I do.
[one-half-first]
- Develop new content
- Update all software
- Improve the website speed
- Develop greater clicks from search engine traffic

- Tweak the website in response to user experience data
- Improve visibility on search engines
- Analyse traffic data to improve all aspects of the website performance.

By simply keeping on top of all aspects of the website, many businesses are reaping the rewards of good web housekeeping and having someone pro-actively working for them to a fixed schedule at least every month or every two weeks.
It’s not rocket science, the more you put in the more you get out it all adds up to more business or at very least ensures you keep up with the competition.
The very best aspect of having someone drive your website is, their is little or no risk, it’s much more risky to leave your website than invest in it. Try it today, a 3 month trial won’t break the bank and I guarantee you will see improvements across key areas of the website.
