Powerful advertising

Vintage AdvertisementIn this day and age advertising is everywhere, it almost blends in, online we talk about ad blindness but it happens each and everyday in the street too.  We must pass hundreds of messages all fighting for our attention.

Looking for powerful advertising for your business why not take a look at this

For many years I’ve worked in advertising and marketing and always tried hard to get the message across, tried to explain to clients that a good advertisement needs to make you think, needs to ask questions about you, your lifestyle and the need you may have for a product or service. In business getting that message across and really plugging in to the consumers psyche is important, it generates you wealth and keeps you in business.  However some messages are even more important than simply business, but these messages still have to fight hard for the eyes, hearts and minds of the population.  If they fail to get that message across then lives and even the globe is at risk.

So what does powerful advertising look like?

Recently I stumbled upon a blog post on a website called Bored Panda.  The post featured some of the most powerful advertisements out there, all are for social awareness around really important issues, they do exactly what good advertising should do, they make you think, yes they provide the facts but they also try to strike a chord with the viewer ensuring they leave a lasting impression. public-interest-public-awareness-ads-35-2 For instance take a look at the one featured here regarding gun laws in America, for me the advertisement says it all.  The campaign developed by advertising agency Greys Canada really points the viewer to understand the twisted logic of American gun law. The complete list of the 40 most powerful advertisements can be found here – 40 Of The Most Powerful Social Issue Ads That’ll Make You Stop And Think So the next time you ‘knock up’ and advertisement ask yourself does it really make people think and remember my business or service or will it simply be part of the wallpaper of life.  Ok we don’t all need a sensationalist campaign, but by thinking about your potential customers and pitching your product or service right in the hole that fills a need, you’re better placed to get the message across and hopefully sell more stuff.
