The Domain Renewal Spoof
From time to time we receive emails from customers asking if letters that they receive through the post from companies such as Domain Renewal Group are genuine.
The answer is quite simple NO! Do not do anything with them except shred them, burn them, throw them away or better still, if they enclosed a return envelope place a large quantity of sand in it and mail it back to them.
Sadly the internet is riddled with scammers, hoaxers, and charlatans, if you are ever in any doubt as to the nature of the postal offer, email or very special offer you receive, check with your main web hosting/design contractor. With emails always, always, always check the return address in the status bar before clicking any link – phising emails are rife.
The web is no different to the rest of the world sadly – if an offer is too good to be true it probably is!
As always its a case of buyer beware!
For really honest deals why not check out our range of services – everyone with an eye on good return on investment.
